A slow drain rarely fixes itself. It usually means hair, soap scum, grease or debris is building up inside the pipe. At first, it’s only a minor inconvenience – water takes a bit longer to go down. But over time, that buildup grows until you’re standing ankle-deep in water every shower or the basin takes minutes to empty.
Worse, if the blockage gets big enough, it can lead to bad smells and, eventually, complete clogs that need more aggressive treatment or professional help.
Raising the problem early means you might be able to solve it with a basic drain snake, a hair catcher, or simple cleaning rather than more drastic measures.
So, instead of living with a slow drain for months, treat it as an early warning and take action while it’s still easy.
