A small drip from the ceiling or a damp patch that appears only after heavy rain might be easy to shrug off – “It only happens sometimes.” But water rarely stays politely small.
Those occasional leaks usually mean water is finding its way through a weak point somewhere above. Each time it rains, a bit more moisture enters, slowly damaging insulation, wooden elements, or the underside of roofs. Mould may begin to grow in hidden spaces, and materials can rot or warp.
By the time the drip becomes regular or the stain grows large, the underlying damage has often become more extensive and more expensive to fix.
Investigating early, even for a tiny drip, lets you repair a specific area rather than dealing with a broad, complicated problem later.
